Paying for Needlr happens on one page: Plan, in the menu on the left. It shows your plan, this month's usage and your invoices. Everyone can see it. Only owners change it.

Everything about paying for Needlr is on one page: Plan, in the menu on the left. The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. You only pay if you turn on pay as you go, or sign an annual contract.

Think of a water bill

Every home gets some water for free each month. If you use more, the bill says exactly how much more, and you pay only for that. You can also ask for a limit, so it never goes over.

Needlr is the same: 25,000 measured visitors a month are free, and pay as you go bills only what's above that, up to your cap.

Who can do what

  • Everyone on the team can open Plan and see the plan, this month's usage and the invoices.
  • Only owners handle paying: turning pay as you go on or off, and its cap (roles).

Turn on pay as you go

  1. 1Open Plan in the menu on the left.
  2. 2Press Turn on pay as you go. It opens an email to [email protected].
  3. 3Write the monthly cap you want. If you don't, it's $100. Send it.
  4. 4Needlr turns it on and writes back. New split tests can start again right away.

How it's priced, with examples, is in Pay as you go.

Invoices

Each month you used pay as you go, Needlr sends one invoice, for the measured visitors above 25,000, and never more than your cap. A month under 25,000 has no invoice.

The Invoices list on the Plan page shows each one: the Date, the Amount and the Status (Paid, Failed, Open or Void). Press View to open the invoice, where you can download it.

Change the cap, or turn it off

  • Press Change my cap on the Plan page, or write to [email protected].
  • When pay as you go is off, you're back to 25,000 free measured visitors a month. Nothing is deleted, and running impact checks keep measuring.

Annual contract

Above 10 million measured visitors a month, or if you need invoicing and a DPA, there's an annual contract. It starts at $10,000 a year, with a lower price per visitor. Press Write to us on the Plan page.

If you already pay by card

Accounts that pay for an older plan by card keep it. For them, the Plan page also has:

  • Manage subscription: opens the billing portal to change the card or cancel.
  • Update payment, if a payment fails. The plan stays for 7 days while the card is retried.
  • If that plan ends, winners shipped through Needlr before then go back to the original 30 days later. Needlr emails owners and editors first. Export them for your developer before then (how).

Good to know

  • Nothing is ever charged unless you turn on pay as you go, and never more than your cap.
  • Plan emails (usage, payments, shipped changes) go to owners and editors. Each person can turn them off under Your emails on the Team page (emails).
  • If Needlr set up your plan for you, like a startup program, the page says so, with its end date.
